Further to our previous newsfeed on this, the Cyprus Registrar of Companies (the “Registrar”) issued a directive published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cyprus on 15 December 2023, based on which the Period A of the transition to the final solution of the electronic system of the Register of Beneficial Owners of Corporate and Other Legal Entities (UBO Register) has been extended to 29 February 2024.
Initially the deadline for Period A, which involves the verification of the information already submitted to the interim solution of the UBO Register or the updating of it with any changes, was on 31 December 2023.
